Nellie or Samantha's Spring Party Dress?

I was going to resist ordering anything else, but I have this catalogue laying on my desk. On the back cover are Samantha and Nellie in their Spring Party dresses. They look so cute! I saw both dresses at AGPC. I liked Nellie's better, but I don't have Nellie - only Samantha. I wasn't planning on getting Nellie either. Should I buy Nellie's dress and have Samantha wear it or buy Samantha's dress? I have some kind of odd hang up about having the girl's in the "wrong" clothes.

If you like Nellie's better then I would get it. Nellie and Samantha are sisters and best friends so they like to share clothes! [img]wink.gif[/img]

Hmmm, that can be a hard choice, but if I were you I would go with Nellies Spring Dress it looks really pretty, and pink is such a nice color for spring time

Buy both and have Samantha wear both of them because they are great. I love both of them.

Judi...I have both...and I love Nellie's, hands down. I would have no problem putting it on Samantha. I think it would be gorgeous with her dark hair. And they are from the same era.

I don't really like Samantha's. The print on the fabric is weird, somehow. And it's so plain. But that's just me.

Is Samantha's cream colored or white? I don't have Samantha's cream colored shoes. Would her dress go with her white birthday party shoes - the ones with the pink bows? I like it that Nellie's outfit comes with shoes and with a barrette type bow. For only 2 dollars more, Nellie's seems like a better value.

I bought the white party shoes and they look fine.The dress looks white but it has a thin very pale green stipe that you can hardly see unless you hold it very close,so that is why I think it is hard to tell it is white it almost looks a little off white.Yes Nellies does come with the shoes so it is a better value buy,but if you have both dolls I would recommend both they look so sweet together in there almost matching outfits.And you never know with AG they may disscontinue one of them and then you will wish you had both.Just a thought.

Samantha's is cream and it really only works with the cream party shoes and socks- the white tights look off with it. Nellie's looks good with the black patent shoes.

I think Sam's looks like a bathrobe and wish they used an embroidered fabric rather than an out of focus print. Nellie's is stunning in detail and color and I actually think it looks better with Samantha's coloring. MY gramma said a red headed irish girl should never wear pink or red. She was one.
